Team Spirit Win The International 2026 in Shanghai for a Third Aegis, Beating TEAM VISION 3-2
Yatoro and Collapse become the first three-time TI champions. Spirit came through the lower bracket after losing the upper bracket run and took $1.43 million from a pool that grew past $3.3 million.
Team Spirit beat TEAM VISION 3-2 in the grand final of The International 2026 at the Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai on 23 August, taking their third Aegis of Champions.
Game five ran past 63 minutes and turned on a Bane save from rue on Yatoro's Lifestealer in the deciding fight.
What the win means for the roster
Yatoro and Collapse are now the first three-time TI champions. Larl has two, "Not me" won on debut, and coach Miposhka has three.
Spirit did it the hard way. They won their opening upper bracket series 2-0 over Iron Wing but dropped out of that side of the draw, then went through Team Liquid 2-0, BoomBoys 2-0 and Team Yandex 2-0 in the lower bracket final before the grand final. TEAM VISION had gone straight through, beating Team Yandex 2-1 in the upper bracket final.
The money
The prize pool started at a $1.6 million base and grew through in-event compendium sales to a reported total above $3.3 million by the final.

Team Falcons going out in the 7-8th bracket is the result most worth noting: they entered as one of the strongest-funded rosters in the field and did not reach the second week of the main event.
Viewership
Esports Charts recorded a peak of 1,047,122 concurrent viewers, an average of 539,560 and 53.6 million hours watched. That peak is attributed to a Spirit v VISION match on 21 August rather than the grand final itself, so the closing-day figure is likely higher than the number currently published.
