The Rocket League Championship Series 2026 World Championship runs from 15 to 20 September at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Twenty teams compete for a prize pool starting at 1.2 million dollars, topped up by in-game content sales. It is the third time Fort Worth has hosted, after 2022 and 2024.

Sixteen of twenty places come from a season-long points system, which rewards consistency across a year rather than a single hot week. The other four come from a Last Chance Qualifier, which does the opposite.
Why a fifth of the field arrives from the back door
An LCQ is a deliberate design choice, not a concession. It gives a strong team that had one bad split a route back in, keeps late-season regional events meaningful for organisations already out of ranking contention, and adds a bracket the audience can watch before the main event. The trade is that it seeds four teams who have just played a tournament against sixteen who have not.
That trade is not always paid. In Apex Legends this January, Oblivion became the first Last Chance Qualifier team to win an ALGS Championship outright.
Fort Worth again
Three world championships in five years is an unusual amount of continuity for an esports final, which more often rotates cities for market reasons. Dickies Arena has now hosted in 2022, 2024 and 2026.
