A League That Excluded Asia Until Last Year Is Now Led by a Singaporean and the Playoffs Are in November

Street Fighter League's European division was renamed EMEAA for its fifth season and opened to teams and players from Asia for the first time. The group stage ran 2 to 6 September. The playoffs are on 8 November.

GTW top the standings on 260 points from an 8-2 record, and their lead player is Ho Kun "Xian" Xian of Singapore, alongside Zhen, Hope and Bravery. Red Dunes are second on 250 from 7-3, MVS third on 230, Yesports on 200, Mouz on 180 and Falcons on 140.

Each team matchup is three sets. The first two players are worth ten points, the anchor twenty. Tiebreakers are worth ten and must be played by benched players, which is why bench depth decides tables in this format.

Capcom released Arjun's gameplay trailer on 7 September and detailed his mechanics the following day. He is Year 4's second downloadable character and arrives on 13 October.

Fighting games are a medal discipline at the Asian Games on 25 and 26 September, contested across Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and The King of Fighters XV by fourteen teams. Malaysia did not enter that event.

EMEAA plays on central European time, six hours behind Singapore, so matches land after midnight in the region.
