Valorant Champions Shanghai finals: Vitality face LOUD, G2 meet 100 Thieves from 2pm Malaysia time on 16 Oct

The last four teams at Valorant Champions Shanghai play from 16 to 18 October, with US$1 million for the winner. Vitality v LOUD and 100 Thieves v G2 open the weekend.

Valorant Champions Shanghai reaches its finals weekend from Friday, 16 October, with four teams left. Team Vitality play LOUD in the upper-bracket final at 2pm Malaysia time, and 100 Thieves play G2 Esports in lower-bracket round three from about 5pm. The grand final is on Sunday, 18 October, and the champion receives US$1 million from a US$2.25 million prize pool.

How the last four got here

Vitality are the only EMEA team left. They beat Nongshim RedForce 2-1 in the upper quarter-finals, winning a 14-12 overtime decider on Haven, and then swept G2 2-0 in the upper semi-finals.

LOUD knocked out Paper Rex 2-0 and then beat defending champions NRG 2-1, taking the deciding map, Summit, 13-3.

G2 have taken the longer route. They beat 100 Thieves 2-0 in the upper quarter-finals, lost to Vitality, and then ended T1's run with a 2-1 win in lower-bracket round two on 11 October.

100 Thieves dropped into the lower bracket after that defeat to G2. They have since beaten Nongshim RedForce 2-1 and NRG 2-0, which ended the title defence of last year's champions on the same day.

No Pacific team in the final four

All four remaining teams come from the Americas and EMEA. Paper Rex and Nongshim RedForce went out on 9 October, and T1 followed on 11 October. That leaves no Pacific or China team in the last four. Fans in Southeast Asia who followed Paper Rex will be watching a final weekend without them.
