Pakistan Were Bowled Out for Fifty-Five and India Chased It Down in Eight and Four
It is the lowest total Pakistan have made in a womens T20 international, and the semi-finals start on Thursday.
India beat Pakistan by seven wickets in Dubai on 5 September after bowling them out for 55 in 18.1 overs, the lowest total Pakistan have made in a women's T20 international. The previous mark was 56, against New Zealand in Dubai in 2024.
Shawaal Zulfiqar top-scored with 14 and Muneeba Ali made 13. Shree Charani and Prema Rawat took three wickets each and Deepti Sharma took two, including the last.
India needed 8.4 overs, finishing on 57 for 3. Harmanpreet Kaur was 18 not out and Shafali Verma made 12. Shafali became the youngest India woman to reach 3,000 runs in T20 internationals, at 22 years and 220 days.
India finished top of Group A with three wins from three. Sri Lanka topped Group B with the same record. They are the only two unbeaten sides in the tournament. Thailand and Indonesia both went out at the group stage.
Two group matches are left and they settle the last two semi-final places: Pakistan play Hong Kong, China on 9 September and Bangladesh play the UAE on 10 September.
The first semi-final is on 10 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India against whoever comes through, at 8pm Indian time. Sri Lanka play the second on 11 September at the same ground. The final is there on 13 September, also at 8pm.
