Thailand's Sharper Esports Won the PUBG Mobile Global Open Southeast Asia Finals in Petaling Jaya
Indonesia's Bigetron by Vitality finished second at 1 Utama, and Malaysia's AKGOLD Esports were among five teams to reach the main event in Pakistan.
Thai team Sharper Esports won the PUBG Mobile Global Open 2026 Season 2 Southeast Asia Finals at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, which ran from 11 to 13 September 2026.
Indonesia's Bigetron by Vitality finished second, ahead of Thailand's Vampire Esports in third, Malaysia's AKGOLD Esports in fourth and Indonesia's Alter Ego Ares in fifth, according to Indonesian outlet Ligagame. Sharper's SP Sakura was named the most valuable player on the second day.
Esports Charts reported that the champions earned 120 PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026 Southeast Asia points and US$12,000 from the US$40,000 prize pool. Indonesian and Thai teams dominated the overall standings across the three days.
The finals peaked at 538,624 viewers during round 18 on the final day, a 33.16% increase on the Season 1 finals, while average viewership rose by 24.14%. Esports Charts said English-language watch time almost doubled, with Hindi, Urdu and Bengali broadcasts bringing in new audiences.
The top five teams advance to the PMGO Season 2 main event in Pakistan in October 2026, where a US$500,000 prize pool is on offer. Sharper, Bigetron, Vampire, AKGOLD and Alter Ego Ares will represent Southeast Asia there.
