Falcons Have Left Dota 2 and Released the Roster That Played More Games Together Than Any Other

The five won The International in 2025 and went out seventh at this year edition. Two of them are retiring.

Team Falcons announced on Sunday 6 September that they are leaving competitive Dota 2 altogether, and have released the roster of Oliver "Skiter" Lepko, Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak, Ammar "ATF" Assaf, Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen and Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun, along with coach Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling.

The five had played 799 games together, reported as more than any roster in the game's history, winning 523 of them for a rate of 65.4 per cent. They were together 1,014 days and took eleven trophies, including an Aegis of Champions.

They won The International in 2025, beating Xtreme Gaming 3-2 in the grand final. At this year's edition they finished seventh to eighth as defending champions, losing 1-2 to Nigma Galaxy and 1-2 to Team Liquid.

The organisation's statement puts the decision down to strategy rather than results, saying its focus is shifting towards expanding ecosystems and pointing to long-term operational sustainability.

Aui_2000 and Cr1t- have both said they are retiring. Where the other three go has not been confirmed, and the reports circulating are reports rather than announcements.

Falcons follow HEROIC and Tundra Esports out of Dota 2, which makes three tier-one organisations leaving the game inside a short window.
