Formula One leaves Zandvoort with Kimi Antonelli leading the drivers' championship on 242 points and Mercedes 87 clear in the constructors'. The next round is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza from 4 to 6 September, the thirteenth of twenty-four.

Hamilton and Russell are level on 183, which is a sentence nobody wrote at the start of the year. Cadillac, one of the new entries, are bottom on zero.
The first season of the new rules
2026 brought the largest regulation change in a generation: a 50/50 split between electrical and combustion power, fully sustainable fuels, DRS abolished and replaced by a manual override mode that releases extra electrical power for a full lap when a driver is within a second, and active aerodynamics with wings that switch between straight and corner modes. Cars are 200mm shorter in wheelbase and 32kg lighter at the minimum weight. Audi and Cadillac joined, Honda returned.
Norris has won the last two races, including at Zandvoort from pole, where Max Verstappen crashed out on the opening lap of his home grand prix. Norris is still eighty-three points off the lead.
Singapore is a sprint weekend
The Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay runs 9-11 October as round eighteen, and it is one of six sprint rounds in 2026 - the last of the year. It also clashes directly with MotoGP at Mandalika, a genuine same-weekend collision for motorsport in this region.
