R Eight Esports Allowed Its Rocket League Roster to Explore Options After World Championship Play In Exit
The Saudi trio remains under contract but may talk to other organisations ahead of November's RLCS Club Championship after losses to Team Falcons and Bigodes ended their Worlds run.
R8 Esports has allowed its Rocket League roster to search for a new organisation while remaining under contract, Sheep Esports reported on 22 September 2026, following the team's exit from the RLCS World Championship Play-In Stage.
The decision covers players Ghaazi Al-Otaibi, Mohammad "M7md" Almutairi and Abdullah Alsanie, along with coach Fahad "Zez0nix" Albulayhid and manager Abdulhadi "Adot" Alilooks.
The team's World Championship campaign ended after a 3-1 defeat to Team Falcons and a narrow 2-3 loss to Bigodes in the Play-In Stage.
It had nonetheless been a breakthrough year. R8 won its first title as an organisation at Open #4, finished in the top two in all but one Regional Open during the domestic season and beat Team Falcons twice during Split 2. The roster also competed at the Paris Major and reached the top 12 at the Esports World Cup, before coming through the MENA Last Chance Qualifier to reach the World Championship.
The move means one of the Middle East and North Africa region's most consistent lineups is effectively available to interested organisations, although any transfer would require an agreement with R8 while contracts remain in place.
The next target on the Rocket League calendar is the RLCS Club Championship in November, with the trio's future expected to become clearer before then.
