Free Fire's Southeast Asian Season Restarts in Surabaya on Friday With Three Malaysian Teams Still In It

The Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia 2026 Fall resumes on Friday 28 August in Surabaya, with knockout phases two and three running to 6 September and the grand finals on 19 and 20 September. Phase one ran 14-23 August.

There is no Singaporean team in the field. Malaysia's three are the smallest national contingent, which makes each of them harder to write off than the raw count suggests - they came through a narrower domestic funnel.
What the winners get
The top eight advance to the FFWS Global Finals, which run from 6 November across four weekends in Bangkok, Thailand, expanded this year from eighteen teams to twenty-four. A Southeast Asian regional final feeding a global final held inside the same region is unusual and worth noting for anyone planning to attend rather than watch.
Champion Rush
The grand finals use the Champion Rush format: a team must reach a 110-point threshold and then win a match outright to take the title. It removes the scenario where a side accumulates its way to a trophy without ever finishing first on the day, and it tends to stretch grand finals longer than a fixed match count would.
