Selangor Red Giants Beat RRQ Tora to Avenge Their Only Defeat and Stay Top of MPL Malaysia
SRG lead the Season 18 table on 8-1 before a meeting with second-placed Team Rey, while Sekysss tops the league with 113 kills.
Selangor Red Giants beat RRQ Tora 2-1 at Quill City Mall on 12 September 2026, avenging the only defeat of their MPL Malaysia Season 18 campaign and keeping their place at the top of the table.
RRQ Tora had beaten SRG 2-1 on 4 September for their first win of the season. SRG had also swept Bigetron MY by VIT 2-0 on 11 September, and they lead the standings with an 8-1 record and a 17-4 game count.
Team Rey are second on 6-3 after losing 2-0 to Invictus Gaming on 11 September and beating Team Vamos 2-0 a day later. Invictus Gaming and Team Vamos are both 5-3, while RRQ Tora, who also beat Team Flash 2-0 on 13 September, are seventh on 2-7 and AC Esports are last on 1-8.
SRG players lead several statistical categories on the official league site. Sekysss has 113 kills in 21 games, an average of 5.38 per game, teammate YumS has a league-high 196 assists, and Stormie has the best KDA ratio at 8.48.
Week 6 begins on 18 September, when Team Rey face Team Flash and RRQ Tora meet Team Vamos. SRG play AC Esports on 19 September before facing second-placed Team Rey at 5pm on 20 September.
