Movistar KOI Swept Karmine Corp Three Nil in Nice to Reach the LEC Summer Final Against G2 Esports

Karmine Corp's defeat in front of a home crowd means the French side will begin the World Championship in the play in stage.

Movistar KOI beat Karmine Corp 3-0 in the LEC Summer 2026 lower bracket final at Palais Nikaia in Nice on 19 September 2026, reaching the grand final and securing a place in the main event of the World Championship.

The first game was close until jungler Javier "Elyoya" Prades turned it with his play on Lee Sin. In the second, bottom laner David "Supa" Martinez finished with 16 kills, one death and two assists on Caitlyn, and Movistar KOI controlled the third from the early stages, with Elyoya going 10/0/5 on Qiyana.

Elyoya was named player of the match for his Lee Sin and Qiyana performances, although one questionable decision over a Rift Herald was the only blemish on his series.

The result reversed the pattern of the season. Karmine Corp had been Movistar KOI's most difficult opponent during regular play, and the French organisation had the support of the crowd in Nice. After reaching three consecutive split finals, Karmine Corp will now have to start the World Championship in the play in stage.

Movistar KOI's run ended a day later. G2 Esports swept them 3-0 in the grand final on 20 September 2026 to win a fourth straight LEC title, and the Spanish team will go to the World Championship as Europe's second seed.
