Travis Head made 112 from 84 balls as Australia beat Zimbabwe by 84 runs in the second one day international at Harare Sports Club on 18 September 2026 to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three match series.
Head, who hit 15 fours and 3 sixes, reached his hundred from 75 deliveries, the fastest one day international century by an Australian against Zimbabwe. He was eventually caught by Ryan Burl at short cover off the bowling of Wessly Madhevere.
Cooper Connolly made 78 from 69 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours, Mitchell Marsh contributed 53 and Oliver Peake struck 41 from 18 balls as Australia closed on 356 for 6 from their 50 overs, their highest total in the format against Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe were bowled out for 272 in 48.3 overs, Sikandar Raza top scoring with 45. Connolly took 2 for 25, Josh Hazlewood 2 for 48, Matt Renshaw 2 for 44 and Adam Zampa 2 for 62.
Peake also became the youngest Australian spinner to take a wicket in a one day international, at 20 years and 7 days. Head said it had been good to spend time in the middle with Marsh and that the pair had simply tried to be aggressive.
