BC Game Benched electroNic and Signed Australian asap to Switch Into Asian Ranking Region for Singapore Major Push

The move alongside Oleksandr Kostyliev, Senzu, mzinho and Magisk lifts the team from thirty sixth in Europe to fourth in the Asian Valve Regional Standings, where five Major invites are available.

BC.Game confirmed on 22 September 2026 that Australian rifler Tyson "asap" Paterson has joined its Counter-Strike 2 roster from THUNDER dOWNUNDER, replacing Russian veteran Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, who has been benched.

The signing is a strategic one. With three of five players now from Asia and Oceania, BC.Game will switch from the European Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to the Asian region. The team sat 36th in Europe with 1,191 points, well short of the top-18 threshold for invites, but the same total places it fourth in the Asian rankings, where five teams receive invitations to the PGL Major Singapore.

The new lineup features Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, Mongolians Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold and Ayush "mzinho" Batbold, Emil "Magisk" Reif and asap, with Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas as coach. electroNic had averaged a 1.03 rating over the previous six months, according to Dot Esports.

BC.Game chief executive Ali Muhanned told HLTV: "If we had more time for the Major, I would have actually given him more time just because the team is new." A day earlier the organisation had also added Polish assistant coach Oskar "oskarish" Stenborowski.

The 23-year-old asap began competing in 2019, played with Rooster in 2023 and helped THUNDER dOWNUNDER qualify for the IEM Cologne Major, where he posted a 1.24 rating in Stage 1.

BC.Game will now chase ranking points at events including ROG Journey Autumn, Stake Pulse Beat III and DracuLAN Season 7 before the November invite deadline, with Asian rivals expected to increase their LAN attendance in the same window.
