Hanwha Life and T1 Meet at the KSPO Dome for the Right to Face Gen G in the Korean League of Legends Final
All four Korean World Championship places are already settled, so Saturday's lower bracket final is about seeding and the title alone.
The 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea playoffs reach their lower bracket final on 12 September at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, where Hanwha Life Esports meet T1. The grand final against Gen.G follows at the same venue on 13 September, both scheduled for two o'clock in the afternoon Korean time.
The bracket produced two five-game series. T1 beat BNK FearX 3-2 on 29 August, then lost 3-2 to Hanwha Life on 2 September after leading. T1 recovered through the lower bracket, beating Dplus KIA 3-1 on 5 September. Gen.G reached the final by beating KT Rolster 3-0 on 1 September, a result that secured a seventh consecutive World Championship appearance since 2020.
Dplus KIA had beaten BNK FearX 3-2 and KT Rolster 3-1 before losing to T1. The four World Championship places from Korea are already allocated to Hanwha Life, Gen.G, T1 and Dplus KIA; Hanwha Life had also qualified as winners of the Mid-Season Invitational. KT Rolster and BNK FearX are eliminated.
The World Championship runs from 15 October to 14 November across Los Angeles, Allen in Texas and New York, where the final will be held at the Barclays Center.
