VCT Americas Stage 2 2026 Group Stage Nears Its Climax Ahead of Champions Shanghai

VCT Americas Stage 2 2026, the final regional stop before Champions Shanghai, is heading into its closing week of group play, with all 12 teams jockeying for position ahead of the Aug. 13 start of Play-Ins.

Sentinels, G2 Esports and LOUD have been among the standout performers so far, while LEVIATAN opened the stage with an upset win over FURIA before splitting more recent results against NRG and Evil Geniuses.

The group stage, which runs through Aug. 9, awards one Championship Point per regular-season match win, with the top eight sides progressing to a 12-team Play-Ins bracket alongside four Challengers qualifiers, including North America's M80 and Brazil's La Masia.

Only the Play-Offs winner and runner-up will punch their tickets to Champions Shanghai, with the double-elimination bracket running from Aug. 27 to Sept. 5 and offering a $100,000 top prize alongside crucial ranking points.

With the group stage tightening up before Play-Ins, Playdash's VCT Americas match-winner and Champions Shanghai qualification markets are likely to see plenty of action as teams jockey for the final qualification spots.
