Rainbow Six Road to Six Invitational 2027 Restarts With Stage 2 in September and the Japan Major in November
Twenty places in Brazil are decided by SI Points, Major wins and five regional last chance qualifiers. The $600,000 Japan Major on 6-15 November carries the biggest points haul left.
The Rainbow Six season has a clear second half. Stage 2 of the regional leagues runs through September and October, the final Major of the year lands in Japan from 6 to 15 November, and everything points at the Six Invitational 2027 in Brazil next February.
How a team gets to Brazil
The 2026 season runs on SI Points, banked across every stage and Major and carried forward all year. Twenty qualification places are settled three ways: the top 14 teams on SI Points, the winners of each Major, the winner of the Rainbow Six event at the Esports World Cup, and the winners of five regional last chance qualifiers.
That last route runs from December into January across the Chinese, North American, European, South American and Asia-Pacific leagues, and it is the only door left once the points are locked.
Stage 2 is the real bottleneck
Salt Lake City hosted the season's first Major in May. The Esports World Cup, with a $2 million pool and a guaranteed Six Invitational berth for its winner, took the summer slot in Paris.
That leaves Stage 2 as the last chance to build a points cushion before the Japan Major. For teams outside the top 14, every regional match in September and October is effectively an elimination game.
The Osaka Major
The BLAST R6 Major in Japan runs 6-15 November for $600,000 and the largest remaining SI Points haul of the season. It is the last event before the LCQs, which makes it the one that decides most of the field.
The Six Invitational itself follows in Brazil in February 2027, with a prize pool in line with 2026's $3 million.
