One Korean Team Featured in All Three of the Most Watched Matches of the Season as League Viewing Rose Ten Per Cent
The Korean league averaged close to four hundred thousand viewers across the year and peaked at 1.56 million for a playoff series involving T1.
Analysis published on 14 September 2026 showed that the 2026 season of Korea's League of Legends competition averaged close to 400,000 viewers, about ten per cent more than the previous year.
All three of the most watched matches of the season involved T1. Their first playoff series against Hanwha Life Esports peaked at 1.56 million concurrent viewers, the lower bracket rematch between the same two sides peaked at 1.53 million, and T1 against Dplus KIA passed 1.5 million.
Total hours watched fell by about seven per cent, which the analysis attributed to a shorter broadcast schedule rather than declining interest. On peak viewership the season ranks eighth in the league's history and third among all League of Legends tournaments held in 2026.
Korea takes four places at this year's World Championship through Gen G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1 and Dplus KIA.
The figures contrast with those reported for Valorant's competitive season, where average viewership fell about seventeen per cent year on year while total watch time rose about three per cent on the back of expanded broadcast hours, ahead of the Champions tournament in Shanghai later this month.
