Axel Touret Was Named the First Rocket League Most Valuable Player of the Season Two Days Before the World Championship
The Karmine Corp player, who won the Paris Major and two European regional events this year, also took the defensive player of the year award.
Axel Touret, who plays as Vatira for Karmine Corp, was named the most valuable player of the 2026 Rocket League Championship Series season at the First Touch Rocket League Awards on 13 September 2026.
The 20-year-old Frenchman won the Paris Major, the Kick-Off Weekend and two European regional opens during the season. He also took the defensive player of the year award.
The all-season first team was made up of Vatira, his Karmine Corp team-mate Atow and Team Vitality's Alexis Bernier, who plays as zen and who was named offensive player of the year. Alexandre Paoli, known as Extra, was named coach of the year.
Justin Morales, who plays as jstn., was named comeback player of the year. He was in the World Championship play-in round two days later with FUT Esports. Nassim Bali of Gentle Mates, who plays as nass, was named most improved player.
Vatira has competed at the top level in Europe since the 2021-22 season and joined Karmine Corp after his debut campaign. He has never won a World Championship. Karmine Corp enter this year's tournament straight into the main event, bypassing the play-in round.
