Darsley Park Becomes 'The Knox' as Newcastle Ink Landmark Training Ground Deal

Newcastle United's Training Centre at Darsley Park has been renamed 'The Knox' as part of a wider partnership with hydration company Knox Hydrate, marking the first time in the club's history that it has sold naming rights to its training base. The change took effect from July 1, and the agreement also hands Knox the sleeve sponsorship on training wear across the men's, women's, and academy squads.

Beyond branding, the partnership folds Knox Hydrate's sports nutrition products into the club's daily training environment, with the stated aim of supporting player performance and recovery. Chief executive David Hopkinson called it a performance-focused partnership rather than a purely commercial one, while Knox counterpart John Schaefer pointed to the alignment between the club's ambitions under its current ownership and the brand's own rapid growth.

The tie-up arrives as Newcastle prepares to open a significantly expanded training facility, with construction reportedly set to grow the site's footprint by more than half, giving the partnership a physical home to grow alongside.
