M80 Reached the Logitech G Play Connect Playoffs in Warsaw as Metizport Left With One Win in Five

Metizport's only success came against a GamerLegion side missing Fredrik Sterner, who sat out the opening day through illness.

M80 qualified for the playoffs of the 100,000 dollar Logitech G Play Connect in Warsaw after finishing third in Group A with a 3-2 record on 17 September 2026, the opening day of the 12 team Counter-Strike 2 event.

The American side beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 16-14 on Mirage, GamerLegion 13-9 on Mirage and Metizport 13-9 on Anubis, but lost 4-13 to Luminosity on Ancient and 9-13 to B8 on Mirage. B8 topped the group. M80 arrived in Poland having won the Roman Imperium Cup in Portugal.

Metizport were eliminated on a 1-4 record. Their only win came against GamerLegion, 13-5 on Nuke, in a match the Swedish organisation played without Fredrik Sterner, who competes as REZ and sat out through illness. David Bily, known as forsyy, went 8-0 on the counter terrorist side of that map and finished with 15 kills and a 1.48 rating.

The group stage is played as a single round robin of best of one maps, with the playoffs decided over best of three series and a best of five grand final.

Group B, which contains Team Liquid, 3DMAX, BBL, EYEBALLERS, INFINITE and Inner Circle, played its round robin on 18 September. Liquid are using Vladan Radevic as a stand-in because Mario Samayoa is absent for personal reasons. The quarter-finals are scheduled for 19 September.
