A Twenty-Two Year Old Came From Three-One Down in Prague and Became the First Woman to Win on the European Tour
Beau Greaves beat Daryl Gurney 6-4 in the first round of the Czech Darts Open, taking three straight legs in 14, 13 and 11 darts.
Beau Greaves beat Daryl Gurney 6-4 in the first round of the Czech Darts Open in Prague on Friday 4 September, becoming the first woman to win a match on the PDC European Tour.
She was 3-1 down and won three straight legs in 14, 13 and 11 darts. Gurney had beaten her 3-2 in the first round of the 2026 World Championship.
Greaves is 22. It is the latest in a run of firsts: the first woman to hit a nine-darter on the PDC Pro Tour, against Mensur Suljovic in February; the first woman to win a PDC ranking title, beating Michael Smith 8-7 at Players Championship 11; and the first woman to qualify for a European Tour event. Her debut had come the week before at the Hungarian Darts Trophy at the MVM Dome in Budapest, where she lost 6-5 to Rob Cross in a last-leg decider.
Her second-round opponent in Prague was world number two Luke Humphries.
The tournament was won by Luke Littler, who beat Humphries 8-6 in the final at the PVA EXPO on Sunday for 35,000 pounds. Littler hit five maximums, averaged just over 95 and landed a 130 checkout in the ninth leg, on his return to the European Tour after six months away.
