Ninjas in Pyjamas Signed Adam Angstrom From OG as Brazilian Side paiN Promoted a Second Academy Player in Two Weeks
The Swedish rifler returns to the organisation whose academy team he played for in 2022 and 2023, and makes his debut on the seventeenth of September.
Ninjas in Pyjamas signed the Swedish rifler Adam Angstrom, who plays as adamb, from OG on 14 September 2026, returning him to the organisation whose academy team he represented in 2022 and 2023.
Angstrom, 21, was the highest-rated player at OG, at 1.13 across 47 maps, with 0.73 kills and 0.64 deaths a round. He replaces the academy player Roman Hamze, who had been temporarily promoted after Artem Mushynskyi was benched. The new line-up is Rasmus Beck, Kacper Gabara, Martin Lund, Karim Moussa on loan and Angstrom, coached by Richard Landstrom. Angstrom makes his debut against M80 on 17 September.
On the same day the Brazilian organisation paiN Gaming benched Guilherme Barbosa, known as piriajr, and promoted the academy rifler Lucas Santana, who plays as Tatu and joined the academy side in June 2024. The club said it was continuing the planned restructuring of its Counter-Strike team.
It was paiN's second academy promotion in under a fortnight, after Rickson Ribeiro Dias came up earlier in September to replace Vinicius Moreira. The roster now reads Rodrigo Bittencourt, Rafael Costa, Joao Vinicius, Santana and Ribeiro Dias, with Henrique Waku as coach.
The changes follow a poor run in which paiN have won around a third of their matches over three months and reached only one podium in seven tournaments, including a qualifying defeat by ShindeN. They play at Circuit X Curitiba on 16 September and remain on the bubble for major qualification.
