Sixteen Teams Play for a Million Dollars in Suzhou From Tuesday and the Singapore Cut-Off Is Coming

FISSURE Playground 3 runs from 8 to 13 September. TYLOO, The MongolZ and 5star carry the Asian entry.

FISSURE Playground 3 opens in Suzhou on Tuesday 8 September and runs to Sunday 13 September, with a prize pool of one million dollars split 450,000 to players and 550,000 to clubs. The event was moved to Suzhou after being announced elsewhere.

Sixteen teams are entered: FURIA, Legacy, G2, 9z, FaZe, Astralis, The MongolZ, BETBOOM, PARIVISION, GamerLegion, magic, BIG, MIBR, TYLOO, Alliance and 5star. The group stage is double elimination over best of three series and the playoffs are single elimination, with a best of five grand final.

The MongolZ and TYLOO were invited on their global ranking. The rest of the Asian entry came through three open qualifiers, Chinese, Oceanic and Rest of Asia, feeding a closed qualifier held from 31 August to 3 September alongside five invited teams; 5star came out of it.

The map pool is Cache, Dust2, Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient and Anubis.

The event is Valve-ranked, using a 3 August ranking date, and the points matter for a specific reason. Eight places at the PGL Major in Singapore are decided by the ranking, with a cut-off on 2 November. The Major runs to 13 December and its closing days are at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the first Counter-Strike Major staged in Southeast Asia.

After Suzhou the calendar goes to StarLadder StarSeries Fall from 17 to 20 September and ESL Pro League Season 24 in Katowice from 3 October.
