Bayern vs Stuttgart Opens It
Matchday one leads with the fixture the league would have chosen anyway: defending champions Bayern Munich host VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena on Friday 28 August at 20:30 CEST. Stuttgart finished as runners-up last season, making this an immediate rematch of the title race's top two.
Vincent Kompany's side then face a run of fixtures that says a lot about the reshaped division:
- Matchday 2 - Saturday 5 September, away at FC Schalke (18:30)
