Thailand Has Five of the Twelve Free Fire Grand Finalists in Surabaya and Malaysia Has None After the Knockout Stage
The FFWS SEA 2026 Fall Grand Finals in Surabaya on 19 and 20 September feature five Thai, four Indonesian and three Vietnamese teams.
Twelve teams will contest the Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia 2026 Fall Grand Finals at the Tunjungan Plaza Convention Hall in Surabaya on 19 and 20 September, and none of them is from Malaysia.
Thailand have five finalists: All Gamers Global, Buriram United Esports, Team Falcons, Team Akkee and Twisted Minds. Indonesia have four in Bigetron by Vitality, ONIC, RRQ Kazu and MBR Omega, while Vietnam are represented by Team Flash, P Esports and GOW Esports.
The season began on 14 August with 18 teams: five each from Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, and three from Malaysia, namely Esports Putrajaya, Maqna Esports Club and VAMOS. The knockout stage concluded on the weekend of 4 to 6 September.
RRQ Kazu finished that stage fifth with 234 points and MBR Omega sixth with 231, joining Bigetron and ONIC, who had already qualified. EVOS Divine, described by Antara as the 2025 Esports World Cup champions, finished 12th with 147 points and did not advance.
The Grand Finals use a Champion Rush format. The first day, 19 September, is a Point Rush of six matches in which teams accumulate starting points. On 20 September full Champion Rush rules apply, with no fixed number of matches: the first team to reach 110 points and then win a match with a Booyah becomes regional champion. Play begins at 2pm Western Indonesia Time on both days.
The top eight finishers are set to qualify for the FFWS Global Finals 2026 in November.
