Tekken Eight and Street Fighter Six Lead the Five Game Lineup for the First Evo Event in Singapore
The Tekken World Tour Global Finals, worth 300,000 US dollars, will be decided at Marina Bay Sands during the same January weekend.
Evo revealed the five main games for Evo Singapore on 16 September 2026, the fighting game festival's first event in Southeast Asia. Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising will be played at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from 15 to 17 January 2027.
The five titles will share a prize pool of at least US$125,000. The Tekken World Tour 2026 Global Finals, worth US$300,000, will be held at the same time, with its group stage on 14 and 15 January, a Last Chance Qualifier on 16 January and the final bracket on 17 January. EventHubs reported that the qualifier will be part of the Evo Singapore Tekken 8 open bracket, and that every venue ticket covers both events.
Registration is now open. Competitors must buy a three-day pass before signing up for individual tournaments, according to the official Evo Singapore website. Partners include Visa, the Singapore Tourism Board, PlayStation, Trip.com and SanDisk, and up to 12 hours of coverage a day will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube.
"Singapore has a vibrant history with fighting games," Evo general manager Rick Thiher said, according to GosuGamers. EventHubs suggested the Tekken finals could make Tekken 8 the most heavily attended game at the event.
The dates and venue were first confirmed in June. Evo Singapore follows the organisers' spin-off events in Japan and France, and will also feature an Evo Museum, an arcade area, cosplay and community-run tournaments.
