Counter-Strike has two Asian-friendly events inside two weeks, 450,000 dollars in Shenzhen and 500,000 at StarSeries.

It is followed by StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 from 17 to 20 September, with a larger pool of 500,000 dollars over a shorter four-day schedule.
The two events sit in the gap between the summer roster shuffle and the autumn stretch of the calendar, which is usually where form is least reliable. Several rosters that changed players over the summer are playing their first serious matches together, and results in this window historically do a poor job of predicting the rest of the season.
Shenzhen matters for the region for the same reason Shanghai does later in the month. A Chinese venue means the schedule runs in the same time zone as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and roughly one hour ahead of Bangkok, so matches land in the evening rather than the small hours.
Counter-Strike has no Southeast Asian side at the top level at present, which is the difference between it and Valorant or Mobile Legends in this market. Regional interest tends to follow the European and Chinese rosters rather than a home team.
