Champions League 2026/27 League Phase Draw Lands August 27 Ahead of a September 8 Start
The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase draw takes place on August 27, setting the eight-game schedule for all 36 clubs before Matchday 1 on September 8-10.
This is the third season under the expanded league phase, which replaced the old group stage. Twenty-nine teams qualify directly through their domestic competitions, while the remaining seven come through qualifying rounds that conclude in late August. Each club plays eight different opponents, four at home and four away, and a single 36-team table decides who advances.
The league phase runs through to January 27, 2027, followed by knockout play-offs in February and the semi-finals in late April and early May. The final is set for Saturday, June 5, 2027 at Madrid's Estadio Metropolitano, the venue's second Champions League final after 2019 and the 72nd edition of the competition.
The draw is traditionally the point at which outright and qualification markets move most sharply, because a club's path is unknown until its eight opponents are confirmed.
Playdash will have Champions League outright odds, group-stage qualification lines and matchday markets updated as the draw and the September fixtures are confirmed.
