Gen G Beat Hanwha Life Esports Three One at the KSPO Dome to Win a Seventh LCK Title
Park Jae-hyuk was named finals most valuable player as the champions lost the opening game and then took three in a row in Seoul.
Gen G Esports beat Hanwha Life Esports 3-1 in the 2026 LCK Season Finals at the KSPO Dome in the Olympic Park in Seoul on 13 September 2026.
Hanwha Life won the opening game in about 38 minutes. Gen G then took the next three, with reported kill scores of 24-5 in 30 minutes, 16-5 in 26 minutes and 14-5 in 28 minutes. Park Jae-hyuk, who plays as Ruler, was named finals most valuable player and received the LCK Golden Dew Necklace. His third game on Zeri, paired with Duro on Yuumi, finished with eleven kills and one death.
It was Gen G's seventh LCK championship and their second in a row, in their eighth consecutive LCK final since the spring of 2022. They had swept KT Rolster 3-0 in the upper bracket before beating Hanwha Life in both the upper bracket final and the grand final. Hanwha Life had reached the decider by beating T1 3-1 in the lower final on 12 September, and are LCK runners-up for a second straight year.
The playoffs ran from 29 August to 13 September. Gen G go to the 2026 World Championship as the LCK first seed, with Hanwha Life second, T1 third and Dplus KIA fourth. Hanwha Life had already secured a berth by winning the Mid-Season Invitational.
