Ibai Said Movistar KOI Asked Jojopyun to Decide Quickly on His Future Ahead of the World Championship
Head coach Melzhet and jungler Elyoya are under contract until 2028, while top laner Myrwn and bot laner Supa remain in negotiations with the Spanish club.
Movistar KOI co-owner Ibai Llanos outlined the club's off-season plans on 21 September 2026, revealing that mid laner Jojopyun had been asked to decide within days whether he would renew his contract, following the team's defeat in the LEC Summer grand final in Nice.
According to Sheep Esports, head coach Melzhet and jungler Elyoya are under contract until 2028 and support Alvaro until 2027. Talks are continuing with top laner Myrwn, bot laner Supa and Jojopyun.
Ibai explained that the club wanted early answers because the late scheduling of the World Championship overlaps with the off-season, while other European organisations are already finalising their rosters for next year.
Movistar KOI lost the LEC Summer grand final 3-0 to G2 Esports but secured Europe's second seed for Worlds. The tournament begins on 15 October, with the Swiss Stage starting on 23 October in Allen, Texas.
The Spanish club was also confirmed on 21 September as one of four teams, alongside T1, G2 Esports and Karmine Corp, for Red Bull League of Its Own in Barcelona on 5 December 2026, which will be its first appearance at the off-season event.
