Monte unveil sdy-led CS2 lineup as CYBERSHOKE disband and brnz4n leaves MIBR after five years
Monte return with a rebuilt CS2 roster around sdy, CYBERSHOKE release their whole lineup, and brnz4n ends his five-year stay with MIBR.
Three more teams changed their Counter-Strike 2 rosters in the run-up to the PGL Major Singapore invite cut-off. On Wednesday, 14 October, Monte revealed a rebuilt lineup led by Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev. A day earlier, CYBERSHOKE disbanded their roster and MIBR confirmed that Breno "brnz4n" Poletto is leaving.
Monte rebuild around sdy
Monte had to start again after selling their previous core to Luminosity earlier in 2026. The new five-man lineup is:
- Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev (Ukraine)
- Vladyslav "St0m4k" Lykhoshva (Ukraine)
- Alexander "br0" Bro (Denmark)
- Cai "CYPHER" Watson (United Kingdom)
- Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski (Poland), on the AWP
- Coach: Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (South Africa), formerly of HEROIC
sdy already knows the club. He played for Monte from January 2023 to February 2024, a period that included a run to the BLAST.tv Paris Major playoffs. CYPHER also had a strong 2023 Major with Into the Breach. sdy most recently led Passion UA on loan from ENCE. St0m4k is the least experienced of the five and was once rated a top-50 prospect.
The lineup played a ranked open qualifier before it was announced and lost to Aurora Young Blud. The club is also in a public dispute with former player Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras. He says he is owed tens of thousands of dollars in missed payments, and Monte has denied that figure to HLTV.
CYBERSHOKE release everyone
CYBERSHOKE disbanded their roster on 13 October after what HLTV called a turbulent year. Eleven players represented the team in 2026. The players are going in different directions:
- Transfer list: Daniil "alpha" Demin and Roman "Mokuj1n" Petrushenko.
- Free agents: Vladimir "yiksrezo" Mitrofanov and Ilya "FenomeN" Kolodko.
- Loans ended: Emil "nota" Moskvitin returns to his parent club, and Alimzhan "Alkaren" Bitimbay returns to HEROIC, both with immediate effect.
The club says it plans to return with a new roster next season. Russian outlet Esports.ru also reported the disbandment on 13 October.
brnz4n's MIBR exit
MIBR also announced on 13 October that brnz4n, 23, is leaving the club. That ends a five-year association. He joined MIBR's academy in 2021 and was promoted to the main team in mid-2022. He was briefly benched in late 2024 for Lucaozy, then returned in early 2025. In August, MIBR moved him out of the lineup again to make room for Tomas "tomaszin" Corna.
During his time at the club, brnz4n won regional titles and ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024, and played at three Majors. His best Major run came at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, where MIBR beat Falcons and another established side before narrowly missing Stage 3. He is now without a team.
MIBR are in a much better position. HLTV's invite tracker lists them as clinched or virtually certain for the Singapore Major.
Why now?
Teams have until 2 November, when invites for the PGL Major Singapore are decided, to settle their lineups. Those outside the invite places have little time left to improve their rankings. Rebuilding teams such as Monte and CYBERSHOKE are looking further ahead, to the 2027 season.
