Demacia Cup 2026: Raptor stars as BNK FEARX beat KT Rolster 3-1 to reach the Beijing grand final

BNK FEARX are through to the grand final of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026. The Korean side beat KT Rolster 3-1 in the first semi-final on Wednesday, 14 October, and jungler Jeon "Raptor" Hyeok-seok was the standout player. They will play the winner of the second semi-final, Team WE against HANJIN BRION, in the final in Beijing on Saturday, 17 October.

How the series unfolded

FEARX took Game 1 with an aggressive start. Raptor played Lee Sin and won the early skirmishes, and in the mid-game teamfights Lee "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon took over on Yunara. KT pulled back some kills in the bottom lane, but FEARX used Baron to win the fights that mattered and closed the game out.

KT levelled the series in Game 2. FEARX made individual mistakes early and KT kept snowballing, taking Dragon and Baron control to win quickly.

Game 3 was the turning point. FEARX picked an unusual draft built around Raptor on a jungle Jayce, alongside Jhin and a Camille support. Raptor finished the game 8/0/8 and was named MVP. FEARX secured the Dragon Soul and Baron, then won the Elder Dragon fight to lead 2-1.

In Game 4, KT's top laner PerfecT won an early Voidgrub contest on Kennen. FEARX still controlled the game. Raptor, now on Vi, dove onto Jiwoo's Caitlyn to shut down KT's main carry. FEARX built a gold lead of more than 10,000 and finished the series.

Raptor's tournament

Raptor played three different champions over four games: Lee Sin, Jayce and Vi. Reports from Inven Global and Sheep Esports both pointed to him as the main reason FEARX won. The Jayce pick in Game 3 drew the most attention, because a jungle Jayce is rarely seen at a top-level event.

Both teams had found their quarter-finals hard. FEARX got past LPL side JD Gaming in a close series. KT came back from behind to knock out Team Vitality.

The other semi-final: Team WE vs HANJIN BRION

The second semi-final is scheduled for Thursday, 15 October. Team WE are the last Chinese team left in the competition. They needed five games to get past FlyQuest in the quarter-finals. HANJIN BRION had an easier quarter-final, beating LGD Gaming 3-1. That made it three Korean teams and one Chinese team in the semi-finals.

If BRION win, the final will be an all-LCK match on Chinese soil. If WE win, a home team will play for the title.

Why the Demacia Cup matters now

The Demacia Cup Global Invitational is played during the off-season. The Swiss stage was online, and the knockout rounds moved to Beijing. It runs at the same time as the League of Legends World Championship in North America, and none of the semi-finalists are at Worlds. For teams such as FEARX, KT and BRION, the event offers best-of-five matches on stage against strong international opponents before the 2027 season begins.

The tournament also shows which non-Worlds teams are already in good form. FEARX beat one LPL team and one fellow LCK team on the way to the final, and they will be favourites against either opponent if Raptor keeps playing at this level.
