The M8 World Championship takes the Mobile Legends world final to Istanbul in January 2027 - the first M Series decider staged in Europe - with the Wild Card stage held in Bangkok, the first M Series event in Thailand. Underneath it sits a new regional circuit.
MCT SEA, the new layer
The inaugural MLBB Championship Tour Southeast Asia launches in the fourth quarter of 2026: twelve teams in four groups across eleven Southeast Asian markets, with a 50,000 US dollar prize pool.

This matters most for the markets without an MPL of their own. Cambodia, Myanmar, Brunei, Laos and Timor-Leste now have a defined path to a world championship stage that did not previously exist, and Singapore gets direct group representation.
Thailand's league feeds it too
MSL Thailand Season 2 runs September to November 2026 with ten teams - FULL SENSE, Bacon Time, Buriram United Esports, Tenacity, eArena, SOLYX, King of Gamers Club, Hydra Esports, Leon Esports and Valee Thai Esports. The champion takes an M8 Wild Card slot; second and third go to MCT SEA.
The context from this year
MSC 2026 ran in Paris in July and August, where Team Spirit beat Yangon Galacticos 4-3 to become the first Western team to win a major MLBB championship, from a three million dollar prize pool. M7 in January went to Aurora Gaming of the Philippines, 4-0 over Alter Ego in Jakarta.
