LOS beat FURIA 3-2 in the CBLOL final to go straight to the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage. FURIA join Vietnam's MVK Esports in the Play-In in Los Angeles.
The field for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship is now complete. LOS beat FURIA 3-2 in a five-game CBLOL Split 2 grand final on Saturday 10 October. With the title, LOS take Brazil's first seed and a direct place in the Worlds Swiss Stage. FURIA go to Worlds as Brazil's second seed, which means starting in the Play-In in Los Angeles, alongside Vietnam's MVK Esports.
Five games in Rio de Janeiro
The series went back and forth all the way. LOS took the first game with a late comeback, and FURIA levelled it with a dominant second game. Jeong "Feisty" Seong-hoon went 10/1/3 as LOS won the third game, but FURIA secured Baron and the Dragon Soul in the fourth to force a decider.
FURIA started the fifth game well before LOS turned it around with a fight in the bottom lane. Duduhh's Jinx was central to the comeback. LOS built a gold lead of more than 10,000 and destroyed FURIA's Nexus at around the 35-minute mark. Jungler Raí "Curse" Yamada was named the most valuable player of the final.
FURIA had reached the final by sweeping LOUD 3-0 in the lower-bracket final on 3 October, which already guaranteed them a place at Worlds.
What the result means for Worlds
As Brazil's top seed, LOS skip the Play-In and start in the Swiss Stage in Allen, Texas. Riot's schedule has the Swiss Stage beginning on 23 October in North American time. In the Swiss format, teams with the same record play each other until they reach three wins or three losses.
FURIA's route is longer. The Play-In at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles is a double-elimination bracket of best-of-five series, and only one team goes through to the Swiss Stage. FURIA's group includes the LCP's third seed, MVK Esports from Vietnam, along with third seeds from North America and Europe.
According to Strafe, LOS also play a promotion tournament final on 12 October, because they competed in the CBLOL this year as a guest team. That match decides their place in the league for 2027.
Worlds 2026 in Malaysia time
