Envy Were Reported to Be Returning to Counter Strike by Acquiring the French Three Dee Max Roster

The North American organisation is reported to be taking on the players and their Valve ranking points without assuming the debts of the current organisation.

Envy are set to return to Counter-Strike after a five-year absence by acquiring the French 3DMAX roster, Sheep Esports reported on 21 September 2026, citing sources.

According to the report, the North American organisation will take on the players and their Valve Regional Standings points but not the debts of the 3DMAX organisation. The squad is led by captain Bryan "Maka" Canda, while Pierre "Ex3rcice" Bulinge and Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro are currently benched.

The report said 3DMAX have faced internal problems, including unpaid salaries and prize money, which contributed to a drop in results. The roster narrowly missed qualification for the Cologne Major in July 2026 and is now fighting for a place at the PGL Major Singapore in late November. Sheep Esports listed the team 28th in the Valve ranking, having recently slipped outside the global top 30.

Envy first entered Counter-Strike in 2015 and became known for fielding French-speaking players, winning a Major during that spell before leaving the game in 2021.

The report emerged as 3DMAX prepared for a semi-final against Inner Circle at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 in Warsaw on 22 September. Inner Circle beat 3DMAX 13-9 on Nuke in the group stage of the same event, and the winner advances to the best-of-five grand final on 23 September.
