LCK Regular Season Ends With Gen.G on Top and Four Korean Teams Chasing Three Worlds 2026 Places
Hanwha Life are already through as MSI champions, which leaves Gen.G, T1, Dplus KIA and KT Rolster fighting over what the playoffs decide. Only three of 19 Worlds places have been filled.
The LCK regular season finished on 23 August at LoL Park, and the playoffs that decide most of Korea's Worlds representation start on 29 August.

Hanwha Life are already qualified for Worlds as MSI 2026 champions, which changes the arithmetic below them. Six teams enter a double-elimination, best-of-five playoff, the top three qualify, and the grand final is on 13 September at INSPIRE Arena in Incheon.
That leaves Gen.G, T1, Dplus KIA and KT Rolster with four teams for three places - and T1 and Dplus KIA arriving on identical 16-8 records.
Worlds 2026 is bigger and spread across three cities
The tournament runs 15 October to 14 November with 19 teams:
- Play-In - Riot Games Arena, Los Angeles, 15-18 October
- Swiss and knockouts - Credit Union of Texas Event Center, Allen, 23 October to 8 November
- Grand final - Barclays Center, Brooklyn, 14 November
Slots go three each to the LCK, LCS, LCP, LEC and LPL, two to CBLOL - up from one - one to the MSI champion, and one extra to the MSI runner-up's region. The Play-In is double-elimination best-of-five with only one team advancing, which makes it the harshest stage on the calendar.
Three of 19 places filled
Hanwha Life Esports (MSI champions), Bilibili Gaming (LPL, locked as the second seed on Championship Points) and Team Secret Whales (LCP, Championship Points) are through. Every other region is still playing.
