Crystal Palace Won Four Nil Against Lech Poznan in Their First Europa League Match at Selhurst Park
Yeremy Pino, Chris Richards, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Eddie Nketiah all scored as the Polish champions finished the night with ten men.
Crystal Palace beat the Polish champions Lech Poznan 4-0 at Selhurst Park on 17 September 2026 in the first Europa League match in the club's history.
Yeremy Pino opened the scoring in the 10th minute after intercepting a poor throw from the visiting goalkeeper. Chris Richards headed in an Adam Wharton corner in the 27th minute, and Jorgen Strand Larsen converted a penalty in the 34th after Pino was fouled.
Substitute Eddie Nketiah added a fourth in the 89th minute. Lech had threatened early, Mikael Ishak missing from close range in the third minute, and they finished the match a man short after Radoslaw Murawski was sent off late on.
Palace, who won the Conference League last season, entered this campaign in the second tier of European club competition. Winger Ismaila Sarr was given a mixed reception from home supporters when he came on, in his first appearance at Selhurst Park since a deadline-day move to Liverpool collapsed.
Bournemouth also won on their European debut on the same night, beating Real Sociedad 2-1 in San Sebastian, while Juventus put five past NEC of the Netherlands in Turin.
