Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia tickets: what RM48 to RM388 gets you at MAEPS this weekend
Day passes start at RM68 (RM48 concession) for Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia at MAEPS, 2–4 October. Here is the full ticket breakdown.
Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia (TASM) opens its doors this Friday, 2 October, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. It runs until Sunday 4 October. Final prices are now listed on the official website, so here is what each ticket gets you and some tips for planning your visit, especially if you are also going to F1 at Sepang.
Opening hours
TASM runs from 10am to 10pm daily on all three days. The late closing time helps anyone heading to Sepang during the day: F1 sessions end by 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and the Grand Prix itself finishes by 5pm on Sunday.
Day passes
Each day (Day 1, 2 or 3) has its own ticket:
- TASM Day Pass (general): RM68
- Student, OKU or senior citizen (60+): RM48, with valid ID or card
- Collector Fast Lane (per day): RM138, which includes priority entry
The organisers say a day pass covers vehicle displays, exhibitor booths and stage activities.
Three-day passes
If you want to come back more than once:
- TASM 3-Day Pass (general): RM168
- Student, OKU or senior 3-Day Pass: RM118
- Collector Fast Lane (3 days): RM268, with priority entry
- Collector's Edition: RM388, which adds exclusive benefits to three-day admission
At RM168, the general three-day pass costs less than three RM68 day passes, so it saves money if you plan to return.
Bundles for families and friends
- Family Day Pass: RM128 for two day passes, valid on a chosen day
- Group Pass: RM248 for four day passes, valid on a chosen day
That works out to RM64 and RM62 per person, a little below the single day-pass price. The organisers' ticket page did not show any categories as sold out when checked on 29 September.
What to expect inside
TASM follows on from Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur, which ran at MITEC from 2023 to 2025. Organisers San-Ei and the Tokyo Auto Salon Federation, working with a Malaysian committee, chose MAEPS partly for its outdoor space. Paultan.org reported that this allows drift demonstrations in a dedicated outdoor area, which the previous venue could not offer.
Indoors, organisers promise custom JDM builds, tuner displays, exhibitor booths and live stage shows. The official website says A-class, Tokyo Auto Salon's official image ambassadors, will perform and meet visitors across the three days. Detailed drift and stage timetables had not been published on the official site at the time of writing, so check the organisers' social channels before you go.
When the show launched, Tokyo Auto Salon director-general Junichi Fukui said: "The Tokyo Auto Salon is more than just a car exhibition. It is a festival that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, innovation and community."
