The playoff stage of the Rocket League world championship begins at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on 18 September 2026, with 12 of the 20 teams that travelled to the event still involved and a total prize pool of 1.2 million dollars.
Psyonix has described it as the largest playoff stage in the history of the competition, with the surviving sides playing a hybrid elimination bracket over three days in best of seven series. The first round is on 18 September, the second on 19 September and the final rounds on 20 September. The champions take 300,000 dollars.
Twenty teams qualified from seven regions, with six from Europe, five from North America, three each from South America and the Middle East and North Africa, and one each from Oceania, Asia Pacific and sub-Saharan Africa. NRG arrived as defending champions, while Karmine Corp came in as winners of the Paris major.
Group stage results included Karmine Corp beating Made In Brazil 3-1, NRG beating Manchester City 3-1, Virtus.pro beating Team Vitality 3-1 and FURIA beating Ninjas in Pyjamas 3-0. Team Falcons edged Spacestation Gaming 3-2.
Two smaller titles are being decided alongside the main event. The one against one grand final between Nwpo and nass takes place on 18 September after both won their semi-finals, and the two against two grand final follows on 19 September.
