Phil Foden Signs New Four-Year Contract at Manchester City

Manchester City winger Phil Foden has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2030. The extension arrives a year before his previous deal was due to expire and comes during a summer of significant change at the club, following the departures of long-time teammates Bernardo Silva and John Stones.

Foden, an academy graduate, made his first-team debut for City back in November 2017 and has gone on to make 369 appearances, scoring 110 goals and collecting 20 major trophies along the way, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League crown.

The 26-year-old had a quieter 2025/26 campaign by his own high standards, managing 10 goals and seven assists across 50 appearances, and was left out of England's most recent squad. Even so, City have opted to back the international with a fresh long-term deal as the club enters a new era under incoming manager Enzo Maresca.

With key figures departing this summer, Foden's continued presence is seen as an important source of stability and homegrown identity for a City side undergoing a notable rebuild.
