Team Spirit Won a Third International and Yatoro and Collapse Became the First Players to Do It Three Times
A 3-2 grand final against Team Vision in Shanghai on 23 August, decided by a sixty-four minute fifth game. No player had won three Internationals before this weekend.
Team Spirit beat Team Vision 3-2 in the grand final of The International 2026 at Shanghai's Oriental Sports Center on 23 August. It is the organisation's third title and it makes Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk and Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov the first players in Dota 2 to win three Internationals, after 2021, 2023 and 2026.

Yatoro went 16/1/7 on Shadow Fiend in the opener. The decider ran to sixty-four minutes.
The tournament
The group stage ran from 13 to 16 August and the main event from 20 to 23 August, with sixteen teams. This was Shanghai's first International since 2019. Spirit beat Xtreme Gaming, Aurora Gaming and Team Liquid during the group stage.
Spirit's roster was Yatoro on carry, Denis "Larl" Sigitov mid, Collapse offlane, Alexey "not me" Kosmynin and Aleksandr "rue" Filin on supports, coached by Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov. Team Vision are coached by Clement "Puppey" Ivanov and their named players included Evgeniy "Noticed" Ignatenko, Edgar "9Class" Naltakian and Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin.
The same weekend, twice
Spirit's Counter-Strike 2 roster won the Esports World Cup CS2 title in Paris across the same weekend, beating FUT Esports 3-1 in the grand final. Two world-level trophies for one organisation inside three days is not something that has a precedent worth citing.
