Gen.G Won the LCK Regular Season on a Head-to-Head Tiebreaker and Worlds Goes to Three American Cities in October
Gen.G and Hanwha Life both finished 19-7. Bilibili Gaming became the first LPL side through to a Worlds that plays its play-ins in Los Angeles and its final in Brooklyn.
Gen.G won the 2026 LCK regular season on 24 August on a head-to-head tiebreaker. They and Hanwha Life Esports both finished 19-7. It is Gen.G's third straight regular-season title.

Hanwha Life had already secured a Worlds slot on 15 August by beating KT Rolster 2-1. That slot comes from winning the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, conditional on not finishing last in the LCK Legend Group, which a top-four finish comfortably satisfied. They have been uneven in summer regardless, with a 2-4 series record noted in one report.

The tournament runs from 15 October to 14 November 2026 with nineteen teams: four from the LCK, four from the LPL, three each from the LEC, LCS and LCP, and two from CBLOL.
The LPL
Bilibili Gaming became the first LPL side to qualify, confirmed with a 2-0 win over ThunderTalk Gaming reported on 13 August. Championship points from splits one and two plus a top-six finish in split three guaranteed them at least the second LPL seed. They also won the 2026 First Stand Tournament.
