Two of the First Four Teams at Worlds 2026 Came Out of the LCP and Both of Them Are Vietnamese
Team Secret Whales qualified before any LCK, LPL or LEC side. MVK Esports followed as the region's third seed, with Bilibili Gaming and Hanwha Life the only others through.
Team Secret Whales qualified for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship before any team from the LCK, LPL or LEC - the first side in the world to book a place, secured on championship points during the LCP Split 3 Swiss stage after beating CTBC Flying Oyster. MVK Esports joined them as the region's third seed.
The LCP is the Asia-Pacific league that covers Southeast Asia, and it currently holds half of the four confirmed places at the tournament.

Team Secret Whales carried 136 championship points and a hundred-point lead over fourth at the time they clinched. It is their second consecutive Worlds, and they finished top six at MSI 2026 including a win over Top Esports.

15 October to 14 November 2026, nineteen teams. A four-team play-in feeds a sixteen-team Swiss stage where three wins advance, then single-elimination Bo5 knockouts. Fearless Draft applies in every Bo3 and Bo5.
Reported slot allocations across the regions still differ between sources, so the exact regional split is worth treating as provisional until Riot publishes a final table.
Still to be decided
LCK Season Playoffs end on 13 September - six teams, double elimination, all Bo5, with the top three qualifying. Early rounds are at LoL PARK in Seoul and the lower bracket final and grand final at the 15,000-seat INSPIRE Arena in Incheon. T1, Gen.G, KT Rolster and Dplus KIA are among the field. The LCP grand final is also outstanding.
