AG.AL Take the Esports World Cup Club Championship on the Final Day as Paris Closes and 2027 Returns to Riyadh
A Trackmania win worth 1,000 points on the last day overturned Team Falcons and ended their run of Club Championship titles. The seven-week event reported 175,000 tickets sold and a $75 million total pool.
The Esports World Cup closed in Paris on 23 August after seven weeks, and the Club Championship was decided on the final day. AG.AL finished on 5,300 points and took $7 million, denying Team Falcons a third consecutive title.
It came down to one event
AG.AL's Gwen won the inaugural Trackmania competition on the closing day for the full 1,000 points, which was enough to overtake Falcons at the top of the table.

The Club Championship pool was $27 million across the top 24 clubs, inside a total of $75 million spread over 25 tournaments in 24 games.
The scale of the Paris edition
Competition ran at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 3 July, with the closing ceremony held at the Grand Palais. President Emmanuel Macron presented the trophy alongside Esports Foundation chief executive Ralf Reichert.
Organiser-reported figures: 175,000 tickets sold, up 94 per cent on 2025, and around two million total visits including Fan Fest and city activations. Viewership was given as 850 million viewers and 440 million hours watched, up 26 per cent year on year, with a peak of 4.3 million during the League of Legends event. More than 2,000 players from over 100 nations represented 200 clubs.
2027 goes back to Riyadh
The event returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next year. No dates, venue or game lineup have been announced.
For anyone reading the club market, the Paris result is the first crack in a two-year pattern. Falcons have finished top twice and second once, and the margin this year was 700 points decided by a single new title being added to the roster.
