Kelsey Mitchell Scored Thirty Three Points and Broke the WNBA Single Season Scoring Record

Mitchell passed a mark set by A'ja Wilson in 2024 and has now scored at least 20 points in 25 consecutive games for Indiana.

Kelsey Mitchell scored 33 points as the Indiana Fever beat the Toronto Tempo 103-85 on 18 September 2026 and became the highest scorer in a single WNBA season.

The guard shot 12 of 17 from the field and made 7 three pointers to take her total for the year to 1,034 points from 41 games. That moved her past A'ja Wilson, who scored 1,021 points in 38 games in 2024.

Mitchell and Wilson are the only players in the league's history to have scored 1,000 points in a season. Wilson stands on 991 this year and is also expected to pass the mark before the regular season ends.

The performance extended Mitchell's run of consecutive games with at least 20 points to 25. She said she simply wanted to show up and respond when her number was called, and to be a good teammate and a good person.

Indiana have three regular season games left in which she can add to her total. The WNBA playoffs are scheduled to begin on 27 September 2026, with the opening round played as best of three series before the semi finals and the finals later in the autumn.
