BNK FEARX beat Team WE 3-1 in Beijing to win Demacia Cup 2026 as Raptor stars in the grand final

BNK FEARX are the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational champions after beating Team WE 3-1 in the grand final in Beijing on Saturday, 17 October. The Korean side won the first two games comfortably, dropped the third, then closed out the fourth in just 24 minutes, with jungler Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin once again the driving force. The result follows on from the semi-final stage, in which FEARX beat KT Rolster and WE edged HANJIN BRION 3-2.

Raptor sets the tone

The final was decided early by FEARX's jungle play. In game one Raptor took Lee Sin and built pressure around the top side of the map, and FEARX turned that into a lead of around 10,000 gold by the 20-minute mark before finishing in 31 minutes.

Game two was a little scrappier. WE found a double kill in the bottom lane, but FEARX evened out the fight count, secured Baron and ended the game in 28 minutes to move to match point.

WE strike back, briefly

With the home crowd behind them, Team WE responded in game three. Their top-side play through the mid lane gave them control of the map, and jungler Monki on Wukong repeatedly targeted FEARX's Caitlyn. WE won in 31 minutes to keep the series alive and raise hopes of a comeback.

It did not last. FEARX came into game four with a draft that suited them, and Clear's Varus drew first blood after WE's jungler went into the enemy jungle. FEARX again reached a lead of around 10,000 gold by 20 minutes, took Baron and wrapped up the title in 24 minutes, the quickest game of the series.

A dominant run

FEARX were the most consistent team of the event. They went unbeaten through the Swiss stage, which included wins over Team Vitality and LGD Gaming, then beat JD Gaming in the quarter-finals and KT Rolster 3-1 in the semi-finals before getting past WE.

Raptor was named MVP of the grand final, and Korean outlet Inven Global described him as the clear standout of the whole tournament. The squad also includes Clear, VicLa, Daystar, TaeYoon and Kellin.

The invitational began on 3 October and brought together 12 teams from six regions that had not qualified for the League of Legends World Championship. For Southeast Asian fans, the event is also remembered for Vietnam's GAM Esports, who went out without a win in the early stage.

What it means

The Demacia Cup gives teams that missed Worlds a meaningful trophy to play for late in the season, and a chance to test new ideas before the 2027 off-season. For FEARX, it is a statement win over some of the strongest teams from China and Korea. For Team WE, reaching the final as the last LPL team standing was a positive end to the year, even if they could not finish the job in front of their own fans.
